Your dog can be trained and programmed like a remote control. The animal and the device are fully capable of producing the desired results, yet something more is needed to take advantage of those functions. Your canine buddy is already equipped with the intelligence he needs to be well-trained. He just needs a masterful hand to show him the ropes.
If you in the crate training phase of your training program, you can use a few techniques to speed it up. If your dog doesn’t want to enter the crate, put a chew bone inside the crate, then close to door. Your dog will want the bone and will be unable to resist entering the crate. When he does, praise him for it so he knows it was a good thing to do.
You need to establish regular feeding routines for your dog. He has to know when the food will arrive and it should be on schedule, but he also needs to know when the food will be removed again. By doing this, your dog will eventually learn to finish their food in one sitting, making feeding a little easier on you.
Make sure you remain controlled when rewarding your dog. If your pet successfully completes a task, then reward him only if he/she is calm. Although you are certainly excited about your dog’s accomplishment, showcasing lots of excitement on your end can cause your dog to become too excited, which causes you to lose control. Maintain a calm atmosphere and provide an appropriate reward.
