Even if you thought the dog you brought home was a perfect angel, it’s not uncommon to find some disastrous behavioral problems with a new puppy. There is good news – you can train your dog so they are better behaved in a short time.
When crate training a new puppy or dog, help the dog realize that the crate is its home. All meals and water bowls should be placed within the crate. This way that start to like their crate even more.
If you have to give your dog a verbal correction, be sure that they are sharp, to the point, and short. Don’t rant on and on about how bad your dog is. Say NO and redirect your dog to the desired behavior. When speaking to your dog, use a voice that commands respect.

Make sure your dog stays calm as you enter a space that he is in. Your pet needs play time (and you might too), but your pet needs to be calm when you step into rooms most of the time. Try not to acknowledge your pet when you set foot into rooms, and this can imbue calm environments most of the time, since your dog will wait for you to start play time.
Control how much you reward your dog. When your dog does commands correctly, they get a treat. You might be thrilled with that accomplishment, when you are excited, they becomes excited and that cuts down the control in the situation. Stay calm and expect the same from your puppy.
